About the Position at University of Pittsburgh

The University of Pittsburgh has exclusively retained the Vortechs Group in the search for a Director of the Office of Technology Management, in coordination with the Founding Director of the Innovation Institute, will lead all aspects of the University’s technology transfer operations, including identifying, protecting, marketing and licensing its intellectual property assets, managing license compliance, and overseeing day-to-day operations of the Office, as well as liaising with other organizations across the University as a whole. Launched by the Office of the Provost in 2013, the Innovation Institute is the University’s hub for activities that promote and foster innovation and entrepreneurship on campus and throughout the Pittsburgh region.
