The Company; This Company is a small profitable company that has become the industry leader in business information delivery. This is a high performance database environment with a very high transaction rate.
The Position; Is a DBI development position with good skills in Database Engineer/Architecting DB’s position. You will work closely with the web application developers, data engineer, and system engineers to design and develop high performance and efficient Databases data sources for key web services.
This is a creative, highly flexible web-centric environment that you will be architecting and building highly scalable backend programs.
Job Skill Essentials:
Work effectively with various data stores (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) focused on performing data manipulation
3+ years designing and developing of high performance and efficient Databases DBI or ETL, interfaces and access methods. Using SQL, Stored Procedures, PL/SQL and Triggers, etc for Oracle, MySQL and Progress
Good skills designing Databases
Familiarity with Open Source DB ETL tools
Experience writing Perl_DBI code
BIG PLUS – Interest, knowledge, or experience with some of the following: NoSQL, NoRel, CouchDB, Cassandra, Big Table, Hadoop, etc…
BIG PLUS – Working knowledge Solaris (SPARC) and Linux OS environments
