The Technology Commercialization Officer recognizes and cultivates the commercialization potential in the on-campus invention opportunities, obtains intellectual property protection, works with faculty and inventors to evaluate commercial potential of discoveries, and licenses inventions to the private sector for public use.
This person will coordinate and work in all aspects of the University’s technology transfer operations, including identifying, protecting, marketing and licensing its intellectual property assets, and managing license compliance.
CURF’s core mission is to provide leadership and expertise to maximize the societal impact of university research and innovation.
Their priority is to develop initiatives to move technology, created through research and creative inquiry, out of the laboratory and into commercial markets.
